On Saturday, March 14, Abby Cooch, a former Bishop Ireton High School standout, contributed to her current team, the Denison Big Red, as they defeated the Washington and Lee Generals 77-64 in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The matchup, held at 8 p.m. in Holekamp Gym, marked the first tournament meeting between the Big Red and the Generals.
The Denison Big Red will move on to play Thursday, March 19, at 5 p.m. in the Cregger Center.
