Deborah Tripp, a Graphic Communications teacher at the Academies of Loudoun, has received the Roger Johnson Lifetime Achievement Award from the Virginia Association for Trade and Industrial Educators (VATIE). The award was presented at the 2025 VATIE Conference on July 24.
The VATIE Board unanimously approved the honor, which recognizes Tripp’s significant contributions and long-term dedication to Trade and Industrial Education in Virginia.
Tripp previously served as SkillsUSA Virginia state director between 2012 and 2018. She continues to influence students through her teaching, with many of her students achieving high rankings at district, state, and national competitions. Her work is noted for providing mentorship and fostering excellence among future leaders in the field.
