Alexandria adjusts Thursday trash pickup to Friday due to operational changes

The City of Alexandria has announced that trash collection scheduled for Thursday, December 11 will be moved to Friday, December 12 due to operational changes. This adjustment affects only Thursday’s trash collection. Other services, including recycling, yard waste, and curbside composting, as well as Monday and Tuesday collections, will continue as usual.

“Items normally collected on Thursday will be collected on Friday, December 12,” the city stated. “If trash has not been collected by the end of the following day, residents can submit a missed collection ticket online or call Alex 311.”
