The City of Alexandria has released its Summer Camp Guide for 2026, offering a range of programs for children and teens. Registration opens on February 18 at 9 a.m. for city residents and on February 20 for nonresidents.

The guide features over 50 camp options for ages 2 to 17, covering sports, creative arts, technology, nature, performing arts, excursions, STEM activities, Camp Adventure, Out of School Time programs, and traditional summer camps. Families can access the guide online or pick up a copy at any Alexandria recreation center.

A tool called the Summer Fun Finder is included in the guide to help parents plan their children’s schedules. Many camps provide extended care with activities such as arts and crafts, movies, and games at select locations. Before Care is available from 7 to 9 a.m., while After Care runs from 4 to 6 p.m.

Registration can be completed online or in person at the Lee Center at 1108 Jefferson St. For more information about registration or other recreational activities offered by the city’s Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities (RPCA) department, residents are directed to visit alexandriava.gov/Recreation or call the Registration and Reservation Office.

“Create a summer your child will always remember with RPCA. Adventures start here!”

Disability accommodations are available by contacting jackie.person@alexandriava.gov or calling the provided number. Interpretation and translation services are also offered free of charge upon request.
