The City of Alexandria’s Office of Climate Action has announced the launch of the Eco-City Advocates Grant. The program is designed to support Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) in engaging residents, particularly those in underserved neighborhoods, with energy efficiency and mobility initiatives. The grant aims to assist low-income communities and help reduce household energy burdens.
Selected organizations will be responsible for recruiting and supporting Eco-City Advocates. These advocates will conduct outreach, provide education, and offer enrollment assistance for programs such as weatherization, energy audits, and transportation services. The goal is to help households lower utility costs, improve home health conditions, and access sustainable transportation options.
Applications for the grant are due by March 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST. Submissions must be sent as a single PDF file via email to eco-cityalexandria@alexandriava.gov. More information about key dates and program details can be found on the Eco-City Advocates webpage.
Questions regarding the Request for Grant Proposal (RGP) must be submitted by March 12, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST to the same email address. Answers to submitted questions will be posted on the grant announcement website. Those interested in receiving updates or addenda are encouraged to fill out a form available online.
