The Department of Planning & Zoning in Alexandria has scheduled a community meeting to discuss proposed changes to the Zoning Ordinance. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 22 at 7 p.m. at the Lyceum, located at 201 S. Washington Street.

City staff plan to review how current zoning regulations are functioning, pinpoint areas that may need clarification or updates, and collect feedback from residents on possible amendments concerning residential properties, commercial activities, and historic preservation.

According to the department, “Throughout this process, staff will examine how current regulations work in practice, identify areas where clarity or updates may be needed, and gather community input to inform potential changes.”

Additional information about the project is available on the project’s webpage.
