The City of Alexandria’s Department of Transportation & Environmental Services is requesting feedback from residents regarding the proposed West Alexandria Transit Center. The planned facility will be located at the site of the redeveloped Landmark Mall.

According to city officials, the new transit center is expected to serve as a hub for several DASH and Metrobus routes. It will also act as a transfer point for two future Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridors.

“Your feedback will help design a transit center that serves as a safe, comfortable, and attractive place for riders, visitors, and neighbors to connect,” states information provided by the city.

Residents can participate by reviewing materials on the project webpage and completing an online feedback form before September 28. After this period, project staff will assess community input and develop recommendations for further steps.

Questions about the project can be directed to Jordan Exantus, Transit Program Manager, at Jordan.Exantus@alexandriava.gov. The city also offers free interpretation and translation services upon request via LanguageAccess@alexandriava.gov or by calling 703.746.3960.
