The City of Alexandria announced on Apr. 27 that it will host a pre-construction community meeting about upcoming roadway and sidewalk improvements along South Patrick Street, between Jefferson Street and Wolfe Street. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 11 at the Nannie J. Lee Recreation Center from 7 to 8 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to inform residents about the planned construction, which is set to begin on June 1 and continue through late January 2027. Construction work will take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
City staff will provide an overview of the project during the session. Community members can attend in person or join virtually via Zoom after registering online.
