American Principles, a conservative advocacy organization, has said that Vice President Kamala Harris and the left will support or enact policies that will “force” biological women to compete with biological men. This statement was made on X on September 23rd.

“Kamala Harris and the radical left will force girls to compete against men and to undress with these grown men in the locker rooms,” said Principles. “This is a denial of biological reality and is extremely dangerous for our women and girls.”

Vice President Harris has previously supported the Equality Act, which mandates public schools to allow transgender individuals to compete in sports aligned with their gender identity. Critics argue that this gives transgender women an unfair advantage in female-only sports, citing biological differences, according to a No Filter article.

A recent Newsweek article discusses comments by former NCAA athlete Kaitlynn Wheeler. She claims that a vote for Kamala Harris would signal the end of women’s competitive sports due to her support of the Equality Act and transgender athletes’ participation in women’s sports. Wheeler’s remarks were prompted by recent Olympic controversies involving athletes who failed gender eligibility tests.

According to a Fox News article, the White House and Vice President Harris have not commented on the gender controversy at the 2024 Olympics, where athletes were questioned for failing gender eligibility tests. Former President Donald Trump has vowed to protect women’s and girls’ sports, framing the issue as a priority in his campaign.

The Heritage Foundation, in a recent article, says the Biden administration’s interpretation of Title IX undermines women’s sports by allowing transgender athletes to compete in categories aligned with their gender identity. It claims that this policy threatens fairness and equal opportunities for biological female athletes, presenting it as an “assault” on women’s sports.
