The Arlington County Police Department released its daily crime report for October 13, 2025, detailing several incidents that occurred across the county. The report, which is published every weekday except for county holidays, covers significant criminal events from the previous day or days.
One of the more serious incidents reported was a case of malicious wounding by caustic substance in the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street on October 11. According to police, a teenage female victim was approached by two teenage female suspects known to her. The suspects, with whom she had an ongoing dispute, assaulted her and used pepper spray before fleeing on foot. The victim declined medical attention and the investigation is ongoing.
Another incident involved unlawful entry in the 3600 block of S. Glebe Road on October 10. A female victim reported signs of forced entry into her apartment, but no items were reported stolen or damaged. The suspect is described as a white female, about 5’2” tall and 120 pounds, with black hair and wearing gray pants, a gray sweater, and a black helmet.
A burglary was also reported in the 300 block of S. Filmore Street between October 10 and 11. Unknown suspect(s) entered a residence, searched two rooms, stole cash, and fled the scene. There are currently no descriptions of the suspect(s).
Other incidents listed in the report include recovered stolen vehicles, larceny from various locations, threats, assault and battery cases, shoplifting, trespassing, destruction of property, harassment, identity thefts, vehicle tampering, fraud cases, and suspicious circumstances across different blocks in Arlington County.
Arlington County Public Schools District serves as the only school district in the area and enrolled 27,536 students during the 2023-24 school year (https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home). Washington Liberty High School had the highest enrollment among local schools with 2,904 students (https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home). White students made up the largest ethnic group at 41.9% of total enrollment during that year (https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home). Overall enrollment saw a slight decrease of 0.2% compared to the previous year (https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home). For pre-kindergarten students specifically, Montessori Public School of Arlington enrolled the most at this level with 103 students (https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home).
The police remind residents that all individuals arrested or charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court and that information provided may change as investigations continue.
