Arlington Public Schools announced on March 17 that it is participating in Neurodiversity Celebration Week, which takes place from March 16 to March 20, 2026. The event is part of a global initiative founded in 2018 to challenge stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences.

The week aims to highlight the strengths and talents of neurodivergent individuals, encouraging schools, families, and communities to recognize their contributions. This year’s theme emphasizes moving beyond awareness toward action by building more inclusive and equitable cultures that empower every individual.

In a statement, Arlington Public Schools said it “is proud to celebrate the diverse minds in our community and remains committed to ensuring every student feels valued, supported and seen.”

Neurodiversity Celebration Week encourages educational institutions worldwide to take steps that foster understanding and acceptance of all students. The initiative provides resources for families and educators seeking ways to support neurodivergent learners.
