City of Alexandria Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities to Hold Meeting on Upcoming Joseph Hensley Park Construction

On September 12 from 7-8 p.m. at Charles E. Beatley, Jr. Central Library (5005 Duke St), the Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Activities will host a meeting to discuss the upcoming Joseph Hensley Park Construction. The public is invited to attend to learn more and ask questions about the project. 

The Joseph Hensley Park Construction project will deliver several key elements of the park’s improvement plan (2012 Citywide Parks Improvement Plan). Details about the planning and design phases can be seen online on the Joseph Hensley Park Renovation page.   

Construction is set to begin in Fall 2023. Outstanding recommendation of the park improvement plan will be delivered in subsequent park renovation phases as funding allows. For additional information contact Mitch Dillon (Mitch.dillon@alexandriaVA.gov or 703.746.4028).
