City of Alexandria Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities issued the following announcement on Jun. 18. 

The theme is Space Race for youth this Monday, June 21, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Armistead Boothe Park (520 Cameron Station Blvd.).

The Pop-up Rec is a mobile recreation center that promotes active, healthy lifestyles & social engagement, within the City of Alexandria, by activating parks & green spaces with programs. The Pop-up Rec allows residents of all ages to engage in recreational sports, fitness programs, games, crafts & community awareness. Join us for weekly seasonal activities or just something new or exciting we thought you might like! Programs and activities are age-specific; please see the schedule for details.
