The Alexandria History Museum at The Lyceum will host a Classic Car Show on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the museum’s parking lot. The event is free and open to the public.
Packards Virginia and the Office of Historic Alexandria are co-sponsoring the show, which will feature Packard vehicles from the 1930s through the 1950s as well as other “orphan” cars—vehicles made by manufacturers that are no longer in business. Notable automobiles expected at the event include a 1933 Packard Coupe Roadster, a 1934 Packard Formal Sedan, and a 1940 Packard Convertible Sedan. Other rare vehicles such as a 1934 Hudson Terraplane Coupe, a 1953 Morgan, a 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk, a 1967 Pontiac GTO, a 1970 Oldsmobile ’98, a 1970 DeTomaso Pantera, and a 1988 Austin Mini are also set to be displayed.
Visitors are invited to explore The Lyceum’s exhibitions inside the museum during the car show and can visit the museum shop. The Alexandria History Museum at The Lyceum is located at 201 South Washington Street in Old Town Alexandria.
