Former Bishop O’Connell High School standout Monica Balistrere and her collegiate squad, the Florida Southern Moccasins, were defeated 84-69 by the Union Bulldogs in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament on Friday, March 13.
The first-round matchup tipped off at 3:30 p.m. at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall and marked Florida Southern’s opening tournament contest against Union.
