FOIA Request to Arlington County Circuit Court Regarding Property Sales Records/Transactions on May 2, 2025.
As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, Central Nova News has submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Arlington County Circuit Court. We are seeking access to a list of all properties and their most recent sales, along with all available metadata related to these transactions. Specifically, we have requested details such as the Recorded Instrument ID, Transaction Date, Transaction Amount, Transaction Type, Buyer Name, and Seller Name.
Our role in gathering and reporting news is crucial for holding public institutions accountable and ensuring transparency. Access to these public records will enable us to fulfill our professional responsibilities effectively. As members of the media, we have also requested a fee waiver due to our involvement in disseminating information to the public.
