The Freedom House Museum, located at 1315 Duke Street in Alexandria, will be closed to the public on Saturday, December 6 due to a plumbing repair. The Office of Historic Alexandria has asked visitors to check the Freedom House website for updates about when the museum will reopen.
Guests who were scheduled for programs or tours at the museum are being contacted regarding cancellations or possible rescheduling.
During this closure, residents and visitors are encouraged to visit other city museums and historic sites. A complete list of locations and hours can be found at alexandriava.gov/Museums. Admission to Historic Alexandria Museums is free for City of Alexandria residents.
