Gadsby’s Tavern Museum will open its doors on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering both regular guided tours and a specialty tour titled “Hamilton’s BFFs & Frenemies” at 11 a.m.

The specialty tour explores the relationships between Founding Fathers and Alexandria, drawing inspiration from the musical Hamilton. Participants will learn about figures such as George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Aaron Burr. The tour examines how these individuals faced challenges of their time and how their lives intersected with Gadsby’s Tavern. It also includes discussion of issues they encountered and the effects of their decisions on local residents.

Guests are asked to arrive at least five minutes before the start of the tour for check-in. The event takes place in the Gadsby’s Tavern Museum Ballroom at 134 N. Royal Street in Alexandria, Virginia. Tickets cost $15 per person or $12 for Historic Alexandria Members and can be purchased through the Historic Alexandria shop.
