About 30.5 percent of the 991 degrees and certificates handed out by Marymount University in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency’s National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Arlington conferred 165 bachelor’s degrees and 87 master’s degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor’s degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 126 bachelor’s degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 97 bachelor’s degrees in general business administration and management and 69 master’s degrees in forensic psychology.

The university enrolled 3,418 students for 2017-18, including 2,287 in undergraduate programs and 1,131 in graduate programs.
