Loudoun County will offer a series of free behavioral health training sessions in October 2025. These sessions are open to the public, but most require registration due to limited seating, with the exception of Rapid REVIVE!, which is available on demand.
The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) training aims to inform participants about how traumatic events during childhood can lead to long-term health issues, mental illness, and substance abuse later in life. The virtual session will last about one hour and include a question-and-answer segment. The next ACEs training is scheduled for Monday, October 6, 2025, from noon to 1 p.m. Registration information is available at loudoun.gov/ChildhoodAdversityTraining.
REVIVE! is an opioid overdose and naloxone education program designed for people who use opioids or know someone who does. Loudoun County provides two versions: Rapid REVIVE! and Virtual REVIVE!. Rapid REVIVE! is a brief six-minute online session that allows participants to receive free naloxone nasal spray after viewing a video and submitting their contact details. Naloxone can be picked up or mailed upon completion. No registration is needed for this format; it is accessible anytime in English at loudoun.gov/RapidRevive and in Spanish at loudoun.gov/ReviveEspanol.
Virtual REVIVE! offers a more comprehensive one-hour session requiring registration. Participants also receive free naloxone upon completion, with options for pickup or mail delivery. The next Virtual REVIVE! session will take place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., with additional sessions available by request at loudoun.gov/revive.
Suicide prevention training through the Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) program teaches three steps that anyone can use to help prevent suicide by recognizing warning signs and referring individuals for professional assistance. This virtual class lasts about one hour followed by discussion and practice opportunities. The upcoming QPR session will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from noon to 1:30 p.m., with details and registration at loudoun.gov/SuicidePreventionTraining.
