Loudoun County is holding its government surplus auction this March, offering a range of items including plastic shelving, storage racks, a display cabinet, and filing cabinets. The auction also features a heavy-duty 2012 Mack roll off truck, marching guest chairs, sewing machines, vehicles, office furniture, computers, books, and other goods. The auction will close at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 12.

The surplus auction provides an opportunity for residents to purchase used county property while supporting efforts to reduce landfill waste by repurposing items. Detailed information and photographs of the available items can be found online.

Items are sold through Public Surplus, an online platform designed for public agencies. Interested bidders must register at publicsurplus.com; registration is free but all purchases include a 9.75% buyer’s premium. Loudoun County government employees face certain bidding restrictions as outlined in the auction terms and conditions available on the Public Surplus website.

Buyers must pick up their purchased items at 14 Cardinal Park Drive, Suite 106 in Leesburg during designated hours by appointment only—either from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., or from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Specific pickup dates are listed with each item on the Loudoun County auction site.

More information about the sale of Loudoun County government surplus items is available at loudoun.gov/surplus.
