Loudoun County has introduced a new online payment portal aimed at making tax payments more accessible and secure for residents. The updated system allows users to consolidate multiple tax accounts under one login, manage payment methods, review their payment history, and set up a digital wallet.

Taxpayers can now schedule future payments through the portal, though the original due dates remain unchanged and penalties or interest may still apply if full payment is not received on time. The platform also expands available payment options to include Venmo, Apple Pay, and Google Pay in addition to PayPal, e-checks, debit cards, and credit cards. Credit and debit card transactions will incur an additional service fee.

Other features of the portal include automated reminders for upcoming tax due dates and the ability to save or print copies of bills for personal records. Taxpayers also have the option to pay by phone using an automated system available in English, Spanish, and French by calling 833-894-1011.

The portal supports payments for business taxes, personal property taxes, and real estate taxes.

“This is a significant improvement to a core county function. It gives Loudoun taxpayers more flexibility and convenience while improving the efficiency of our tax-collection process. Soon, most payments to Loudoun County Government will be made through the portal. Our goal is a single, convenient place for residents to manage all Loudoun payments,” said Treasurer Henry C. Eickelberg.

Traditional payment methods such as mail or in-person visits at Treasurer’s Offices in Leesburg and Sterling remain available. Residents can also call the Treasurer’s office during business hours at 703-777-0280.

Further information about payment options and access to the new portal can be found at https://www.loudoun.gov/PayTaxes.
