Loudoun County’s Youth and Family Support Services Program announced on Mar. 23 that it is accepting registrations for the Parenting Wisely – Young Child Edition, a free virtual program offered in Spanish. The six-week course will take place on Thursdays from April 2 to May 7, between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m.

The program is intended to support families in Loudoun County with children aged four to ten who may be facing behavioral challenges such as acting out in public, conflicts with siblings or other children, difficulties preparing for school, interruptions during phone calls, or struggles with homework and low grades.

Participants will learn practical strategies aimed at supporting their children and managing everyday challenges at home. The curriculum focuses on reducing challenging behaviors, family conflict, and stress within the household by teaching evidence-based parenting techniques through the Parenting Wisely model.

Space in the program is limited. Interested families can find more information and register by visiting loudoun.gov/ParentingWisely.

Those requiring accommodations to participate are encouraged to contact the Department of Family Services at 703-737-8237 at least three business days prior to each session.
