The Loudoun County Department of Planning and Zoning will temporarily close to the public on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. due to a staff meeting. During this period, in-person services will not be available.

The department has announced that it will resume in-person operations at 2:00 p.m. the same day. Any emails or messages received during the closure will be addressed after reopening.

Online services through LandMARC, which is the county’s land application management system, and requests via the Loudoun Express Request (LEx) system will remain accessible while the office is closed.

The Department of Planning and Zoning handles land development applications for rezonings and special exceptions, enforces zoning ordinances, assists property owners with historic and agricultural resources management, and prepares reports to guide county land use policies.
