Loudoun County Public Schools has been recognized as one of the 2025 Best Communities for Music Education by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation, according to a March 17 announcement. The national designation honors school divisions that show outstanding achievement in providing music access and education to all students.
The recognition highlights Loudoun County Public Schools’ ongoing commitment to offering high-quality music programs at every grade level. Students have opportunities ranging from elementary music instruction to middle and high school band, orchestra, and choral programs.
Superintendent Dr. Aaron Spence said, “The arts play an essential role in a well-rounded education. Providing students with opportunities to explore music and other fine arts helps them grow not only as learners, but as individuals. These experiences build creativity, confidence, and connection, and they enrich the overall educational experience in meaningful and lasting ways. We are proud of the work happening in our schools to support our students in discovering and developing their talents.”
The Best Communities for Music Education designation is given to districts that demonstrate strong commitment through funding, instruction, participation, and community support. The recognition reflects the dedication of Loudoun’s music educators, student enthusiasm, and continued support from families and the broader community.
This award places Loudoun County Public Schools among a select group of districts nationwide recognized for excellence in music education.
