Loudoun County Public Schools marked the 10th anniversary of its Welcome Center program with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Welcome Center East on April 29. The event celebrated both a decade of service and the opening of the division’s second center, which aims to better serve families in the eastern part of Loudoun County.

Welcome Center East, located at 101 Enterprise Street in Sterling, joins the original LCPS Welcome Center as a central hub for supporting students and families who are new to the school system. Both centers provide guidance on enrollment, academic programs, and community connections. The expansion is intended to strengthen family engagement and ensure equitable access for all families regardless of language or background.

Dr. Aaron Spence, Superintendent of Loudoun County Public Schools, said, “For the past decade, the Welcome Center has served as an important connection point for students and families joining our school community. This building does more than expand access. It reflects our commitment to supporting international and multilingual families, connecting them to resources, and ensuring every student and family feels welcomed, valued and included from the very beginning.”

The district serves over 80,000 students across 100 schools. According to Loudoun County Public Schools’ announcement, these centers play a key role in helping new students and their families feel supported as they transition into LCPS.

More information about available services can be found on the LCPS Welcome Center webpage.
