Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) has begun work on its 2032 Strategic Plan and is seeking feedback from the community to help shape the future direction of the school division. The district is asking for input from students, families, staff, and other community members as it revisits its mission, vision, and core values.
According to LCPS, the goal of the strategic plan is to support student excellence and well-being, respond to and support staff—the largest workforce in the county—and foster positive interactions across the community to build trust. The district hopes that by involving a broad range of voices, it can ensure it provides high-quality education for all students.
“We are seeking input from students, families, staff, and community members to help shape the future of our school division to ensure we provide the best education possible for our students,” LCPS stated.
The survey will be used as part of a process aimed at school improvement, better student outcomes, and increased parental involvement. Community members are encouraged to participate in order to have their perspectives included as LCPS works toward these goals.
“We are asking community members to get involved. We want to hear your input as we reexamine our mission, vision, and core values, and how to bring them to life in the coming years to improve student achievement and future pathways,” LCPS said.
Families and staff received invitations with unique links on November 5 via email from Superintendent Aaron Spence. They are advised to use only those specific links when responding.
LCPS reiterated its commitment “to creating a positive culture of expectations for success, creating the best education possible for our students, and building trust through dialogue with our school communities.”
The district invites everyone interested in contributing ideas or feedback about its long-term plans for education in Loudoun County to participate in this planning effort.
