On September 16, the committee made a statement regarding Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger and reactions to the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The tweet reads: “Abigail Spanberger can’t condemn people who justify Charlie Kirk’s assassination. It’s her base.”

The following day, on September 17, the committee announced a vigil for Charlie Kirk at Reston Bible Church in Sterling, Virginia. The tweet states: “Charlie Kirk Vigil scheduled THIS THURSDAY at 7PM at Reston Bible Church located in Sterling Virginia. Reston Bible Church 7PM on September 18th 45650 Oakbrook Court, Dulles, VA 20166”

Later that morning, the Loudoun County Republican Committee encouraged community participation by inviting individuals to apply for open committee positions. Abigail Spanberger is a U.S. Representative from Virginia’s 7th congressional district and has been active in national politics since her election in 2018. Charlie Kirk was a conservative activist known for founding Turning Point USA.
