Loudoun County Republican Committee has used its social media platform to encourage voter participation and express political viewpoints ahead of the upcoming election in Virginia.

On April 17, 2026, the committee posted a reminder about absentee ballot procedures, stating, “Deadline to drop off your Absentee Ballot to stop the gerrymandering in Virginia is Election Day—April 21. It’s too late to mail it in. You must drop it off TOMORROW at your Early Voting location OR on ELECTION DAY at your assigned precinct. Don’t let this go! Every.” The post emphasized that mailed ballots would no longer be accepted and urged voters to deliver their ballots in person either during early voting or on Election Day.

Later that evening, on April 18, 2026, the committee questioned former President Barack Obama’s actions with a post reading: “Why does Obama repeatedly silence the voices of Black Americans?”

In another message posted on April 18, 2026, the committee highlighted the limited remaining opportunities for voters to participate: “I voted. Did you? Just TWO chances left to vote. Tomorrow, April 18 and Tuesday, April 21. This vote will come down to just a few votes. You can’t afford to sit this one out. Vote NO.” The statement encouraged turnout by stressing the potential impact of each individual vote.

Virginia’s election laws allow absentee ballots if they are received by local election offices by Election Day; however, deadlines for mailing may result in some ballots arriving too late if not hand-delivered before polls close.

The Loudoun County Republican Committee is an official local party organization involved in mobilizing voters and communicating party positions within Loudoun County.
