Loudoun County will provide several free behavioral health training sessions in November 2025. The programs, organized by the Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services, are open to the public but require registration due to limited seating, except for the Rapid REVIVE! session.

The Adult Mental Health First Aid course is designed to help participants identify and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. It will be held in person at the department’s office at 21641 Ridgetop Circle, Lucketts Room, Sterling on Wednesday, November 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. More information and registration can be found at loudoun.gov/MHFirstAid.

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) training aims to increase understanding of how traumatic events during childhood can lead to long-term health issues in adulthood. The virtual session is scheduled for Monday, November 17, from noon to 1:00 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer period. Registration details are available at loudoun.gov/ChildhoodAdversityTraining.

For those interested in opioid overdose prevention, Loudoun County offers two versions of its REVIVE! program—Rapid REVIVE! and Virtual REVIVE!. Rapid REVIVE! is a brief online training that takes six minutes; after viewing a video and submitting contact information, participants receive free naloxone nasal spray either by mail or pickup. This version does not require registration and is available anytime through loudoun.gov/RapidRevive for English or loudoun.gov/ReviveEspanol for Spanish.

Virtual REVIVE! is a one-hour online class that requires prior registration. The next session will take place on Friday, November 7, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with more details at loudoun.gov/revive.

Accommodations for disabilities or language assistance can be requested by calling 703-771-5155 or emailing the department with three business days’ notice.
