The Loudoun County School Board has scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. The session will take place in the School Board Meeting Room at the Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Administrative Offices located at 21000 Education Court in Ashburn.

According to information from LCPS, the complete agenda for the meeting will be available on the LCPS School Board website under the Meetings section by around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 10. The agenda can also be accessed through the Board Meetings & Documents link on the LCPS webpage. Both in-person and virtual public comments will be accepted during this meeting. Details about how to sign up to speak are provided on the Citizen Participation webpage.

Procedures for submitting comments include a sign-up deadline of noon on Tuesday, October 14. Walk-up registrations for those wishing to make in-person comments will be accepted at the Administrative Offices between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m., with these speakers added to the end of the list of in-person commenters.

A list of pre-registered speakers is set to be posted at both the front entrance of the Administrative Offices and online about an hour before the meeting begins. Speakers are required to limit their remarks according to time constraints set by the Chair prior to public comment; these limits depend on how many people have signed up and items listed on the agenda.

Members of the public may view both public comments and all proceedings from within the School Board Meeting Room. Entry for attendees will be through the west entrance of the Administrative Offices.

Eligibility criteria for addressing comments to the School Board include being a resident or business owner in Loudoun County (including incorporated towns), a county taxpayer, current or former LCPS student, parent or guardian of an LCPS student living outside Loudoun County, an employee or retiree of LCPS, or a representative from organizations serving employees and students.

Security protocols remain in effect for those entering: “All persons and items entering the building are subject to search.” Items not permitted inside include bags larger than specified dimensions (8 inches-by-11-inches-by-2 inches), backpacks, food, sticks or rods, lighters and matches, aerosols, noise-making devices, voice-enhancement devices, mace or pepper spray, and any weapons. Attendees may bring one soft-plastic water bottle (one liter or smaller).

Materials intended for distribution to board members must be handed over before meetings begin either to designated staff at collection points rather than directly approaching board members: “As a reminder, if a member of the public wishes to present materials to School Board members, the materials should be given to the Public Information Officer or designee at back of board room or in designated collection area prior start… Under no circumstances will speaker approach dais.”

Attendees are allowed to record photos and video during proceedings; such recordings may become part of official records or appear in media coverage. The entire meeting will also be live-streamed via the LCPS webpage as well as broadcast locally on Comcast channel 18 and Verizon FIOS channel 43 (standard definition), with high-definition streaming available on Comcast channel 1070.
