Among action items, Policy 5140 regarding Advanced or Accelerated Mathematics was approved unanimously. The board also approved forming a committee to suggest names for a new high school (HS-14). Additionally, certain current fourth-grade students affected by attendance zone changes will be allowed to remain at their current elementary school for fifth grade during the 2026-2027 academic year.
Other agenda items included hearing about nominees for the Virginia School Boards Association Business Honor Roll—who will be recognized publicly at a future meeting—and discussing Middleburg Community Charter School’s proposed calendar for 2026-2027.
