The Loudoun County School Board is scheduled to meet at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, at the Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Administrative Offices located at 21000 Education Court in Ashburn.

The complete agenda for the meeting can be found on the School Board website under the Meetings section and through the Board Meetings & Documents link on the LCPS webpage. The board will accept both in-person and virtual public comments during this session. Details about signing up to speak are available on the Citizen Participation webpage.

Public comment sign-up closes at noon on March 10. Individuals who have not pre-registered may register in person between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m. at the Administrative Offices, with walk-up speakers added to the end of the in-person comment list. The list of pre-registered speakers will be posted at the front of the building and online about an hour before the meeting begins.

Speakers must keep their remarks within a time limit set by the Chair, which is determined based on how many people wish to speak and what is listed on the agenda.

Members of the public can view both public comments and proceedings from inside the School Board Meeting Room, entering through the west entrance of the Administrative Offices.

Those eligible to address the board include Loudoun County residents (including those from incorporated towns), businesses operating partly or wholly within Loudoun County, county taxpayers, current or former LCPS students, parents or guardians of LCPS students living outside Loudoun County, LCPS employees and retirees, as well as representatives from organizations serving LCPS staff and students.

Safety protocols require all attendees and their belongings to be searched upon entry. Items such as large bags or purses (only those measuring 8 inches-by-11-inches-by-2 inches or smaller are allowed), backpacks, food, sticks or rods, lighters or matches, aerosols, noise-making devices, voice-enhancement devices, mace or pepper spray, and weapons are prohibited inside. Each attendee may bring one soft-plastic water container no larger than one liter.

Anyone wishing to present materials to board members must give them to either a Public Information Officer or a designated person before proceedings begin; materials should be hand-carried without boxes or bags. Speakers cannot approach board members directly during meetings.

Attendees are permitted to take photos and make video recordings; these images may become part of public records or media coverage. The meeting will be live-streamed via the LCPS website and broadcast in standard definition on Verizon FIOS channel 43 as well as in high definition on Comcast channel 1070.
