Loudoun County seeks public input on Snickersville Turnpike speed management

Loudoun County will hold a public meeting on October 16, 2025, to gather input on the Snickersville Turnpike Speed Management Study. The study is focused on evaluating travel speeds along Snickersville Turnpike (Route 734), specifically near the village of Philomont. The area under review stretches from Hibbs Bridge to the intersection of St. Louis Road (Route 611) and Silcott Springs Road (Route 690). Recommendations for measures to reduce vehicle speeds are expected as part of the study.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 16, at 6:30 p.m. It will take place at the Bluemont Community Center, located at 33846 Snickersville Turnpike in Bluemont. On-site parking will be available for attendees.

Residents have several ways to provide their feedback. They can attend the meeting in person or use an online comment form that will be posted after the event at https://www.loudoun.gov/SnickersvilleStudy. Comments must be submitted by October 31, 2025. Those who do not have internet access can share their input by phone at 703-737-8624.
