Loudoun County announced on April 6 that it will host two upcoming meetings for local nonprofit organizations to discuss a new nonprofit liaison plan. The sessions will be held in the Dulles Room on the first floor of the Loudoun County Government Center at 1 Harrison St. SE, Leesburg, and will include a presentation followed by a question-and-answer period.

The purpose of these meetings is to inform nonprofits about the county’s plan to introduce a nonprofit liaison who will act as the central point of contact for organizations seeking information or funding opportunities through Loudoun County government. The county said this role is intended to improve communication and collaboration with nonprofits serving the community, as well as streamline coordination among various county departments in response to questions and concerns from these organizations.

According to Loudoun County, anyone requiring reasonable accommodation due to disability or needing language assistance can contact the Department of Finance and Procurement via email or phone at 703-777-0290. Three business days’ notice is requested for such accommodations.

Nonprofit representatives seeking more details about the meetings are encouraged to reach out by email or phone at 703-777-0290. Additionally, Loudoun County has established a subscription service called “Notify Me” under its “News Flash” category, which provides updates relevant to local nonprofits including grant opportunities and professional development resources.

The introduction of this liaison position reflects ongoing efforts by Loudoun County officials to support local nonprofits and enhance access to county resources.
