The Loudoun County Department of Family Services announced on Mar. 10 that it will continue to host monthly virtual foster care information sessions, with dates scheduled for April, May, and June 2026.

These sessions are intended for individuals interested in becoming foster parents. The department said the meetings will cover general information about the need for foster care, eligibility requirements for prospective foster parents, the process involved in becoming a foster parent, and the support available from the Department of Family Services (DFS) to foster families. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions and sign up for next steps.

Registration is required to attend these free sessions. More details and registration information can be found at loudoun.gov/FosterCare.

Anyone needing accommodations to participate is encouraged to contact the Department of Family Services at 703-777-0353. The department requests three business days’ notice for accommodation requests.

The county continues its efforts to inform residents about fostering opportunities as part of its ongoing support for children and families.
