Nathan DeWitte appears in NCAA Division III matchup for Washington and Lee

On Saturday, March 14, at 3 p.m., Nathan DeWitte, a former Episcopal High School standout, pitched for his current team, the Washington and Lee Generals, who were defeated 5-3 by the Averett Cougars in an NCAA Division III baseball contest.

Cap’n Dick Smith Field hosted the matchup, marking the teams’ second faceoff this season. In their earlier meeting Saturday, March 14, the Generals prevailed, 8-6.

DeWitte gave up two earned runs in three innings of work, walking three batters and striking out two.

The Generals are set to play next on Wednesday, March 18, at 5 p.m. at Cap’n Dick Smith Field against the Bridgewater Eagles.
