Renters and first-time homebuyers in Northern Virginia will have access to free resources at the 2026 Northern Virginia Housing Expo, scheduled for March 7 at Fairfax High School. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to the public at no cost.

Attendees can meet with experts in an exhibit hall, participate in informational workshops, and receive individual financial coaching from certified volunteer coaches. Online resources are also available through the expo’s website, www.NoVaHousingExpo.org, including an online exhibit hall, webinars, and year-round virtual financial coaching.

The expo’s workshops and exhibits will cover topics such as maintaining creditworthiness, programs for first-time buyers, rental assistance, senior housing options, tax issues related to homeownership, and working with real estate professionals.

Additional information about the expo can be found on its website or through its social media channels on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn.

According to organizers, “The expo is underwritten by Virginia Housing and is made possible by a collaboration of local, state and federal housing agencies and other stakeholders. Participants in the planning include representatives from Prince William, Fairfax, Arlington and Loudoun Counties; the Cities of Falls Church, Alexandria, Fairfax and Manassas Park; the US Department of Housing and Urban Development; the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors; and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments. Laura K. Nickle, president of Communi-k, Inc., is the event manager; First Home Alliance of Woodbridge, Va., is the nonprofit partner for the event.”
