PatCon, a free anime convention organized by the Patrick Henry Recreation Center, will take place on Saturday, February 7 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 4653 Taney Ave., Alexandria, VA. The event is designed for all ages and aims to bring together fans of anime, art, and creativity.

The convention originated from the Recreation Center’s Anime Society and is led by local youth. Attendees can expect activities such as cosplay contests, anime screenings, gaming sessions, workshops, an artist alley featuring local creators, food options, and merchandise stands.

Organizers emphasize that there are no costs or barriers for participation. “No cost, no barriers, just a hands-on space to connect, create, and explore together,” the press release states.
