Loudoun County Treasurer Henry C. Eickelberg has announced that the deadline for personal property tax payments is Monday, October 6, 2025. Payments made or postmarked after this date will incur a 10% late payment penalty and an annual interest charge of 10% on both the unpaid taxes and any penalties. If taxes remain unpaid for more than 60 days past the due date, an additional 15% penalty will be applied along with continued interest.
Eickelberg advised taxpayers facing financial difficulties to reach out to the Office of the Treasurer’s Collections Team at 703-771-5656 for assistance.
Several payment options are available: online through loudoun.gov/taxes, by telephone at 1-833-894-1011 (available 24 hours), by mail to County of Loudoun, P.O. Box 1000, Leesburg, Virginia 20177-1000, in person at Treasurer’s Office locations or temporary tax payment convenience centers on October 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and via a drop box located outside the Leesburg and Sterling offices. Payments can be made using eCheck, paper check, or major credit cards including VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover; credit card transactions carry a convenience fee while eCheck and paper check payments do not.
The Treasurer’s Office operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with extended hours at the Leesburg and Sterling offices on Friday, October 3 and Monday, October 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
