The Department of Planning & Zoning in Alexandria will hold a virtual community update on Tuesday, March 17 at 6 p.m. The meeting will focus on how coordinated land use, multimodal design, and transportation planning can influence travel behavior and help create safer corridors centered around the community.

Topics for this month’s meeting include updates on the Duke Street Land Use planning process, ongoing redevelopment projects across the city, and proposed zoning text amendments related to commercial uses. Community members are encouraged to attend to learn more about major development projects under review, changes to regulations affecting new developments, and upcoming planning initiatives.
