One notable incident occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. on October 29 in the 4700 block of Langston Boulevard. Police responded to a reported robbery by force at a business where a male suspect allegedly asked an employee for cigarettes and then grabbed them before fleeing on foot. Officers located a suspect matching the description in the 2100 block of N. Glebe Road and took him into custody. During the investigation, suspected narcotics were found, and authorities discovered the individual was wanted in another jurisdiction. Abdiqani Hassan, 36, of Fairfax, Virginia, was arrested and charged with Robbery and two counts of Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance. He was also served with outstanding warrants and held without bond.

Other incidents listed include several cases of assault and battery across different locations such as N. Glebe Road at N. Pershing Drive, the 2300 block of 11th Street N., the 4200 block of Fairfax Drive, and the 1900 block of N. Nash Street. Multiple larceny reports were filed from areas including S. Eads Street, Wilson Boulevard, S. Hayes Street, 8th Road S., Langston Boulevard, S. Dinwiddie Street, S. Joyce Street, Frederick Street, Thomas Street, Key Boulevard, Clarendon Boulevard, as well as shoplifting incidents on Crystal Drive and N. Glebe Road.

A stolen vehicle was reported—a 2024 Vespa Piaggio (orange), license plate VA S83653—taken from the 3200 block of 10th Street N.

Online reports included destruction of property on streets such as Randolph Street, Pollard Street, Arlington Boulevard; harassment on Quincy Street; suspicious circumstances at various addresses; larceny from auto on Four Mile Run Drive; identity theft on George Mason Drive; and additional larceny cases.

Arlington County’s public school system enrolled over 27,500 students during the 2023-24 school year, making it one of Northern Virginia’s sizable districts.

Washington Liberty High School had the largest student body among Arlington schools during this period with nearly 2,900 students.

White students made up about 42% of enrollment, followed by Hispanic students at roughly 30%.

Overall district enrollment slightly declined by 0.2% compared to last year.

The Montessori Public School welcomed more pre-kindergarteners than any other county school with 103 students enrolled in that grade level.
