Police detail arrests for narcotics violations; burglary investigated in Arlington

The Arlington County Police Department released its daily crime report for September 11, 2025, outlining several significant incidents from the previous day. The report is published each weekday except on county holidays and covers major criminal events that have occurred recently.

One of the highlighted incidents involved a narcotics violation in the 2900 block of S. Glebe Road at approximately 8:42 p.m. Officers identified a wanted suspect in the area. According to police, when officers approached, the suspect attempted to escape by vehicle but crashed into a fire hydrant before fleeing on foot. The suspect fell during his escape and sustained a minor injury. Police took him into custody and recovered a firearm along with suspected narcotics during their investigation. Naim Arrak, 27, of Gainesville, VA was arrested and faces multiple charges including Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance, Possession of Firearm while in Possession of Drugs, Possession of Firearm by Foreign Alien, Reckless Handling of a Firearm, Obstruction of Justice, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Eluding, Driving While Suspended and Hit and Run: Property Damage. He was also served with outstanding warrants and held without bond.

Another incident detailed in the report involved a late burglary on the 800 block of N. Kentucky Street. On September 10 at about 1:55 p.m., police responded to reports that between September 6 and September 7 someone entered an unoccupied home and stole credit cards as well as cash before leaving the scene. There are currently no suspects identified in this case.

Other reported offenses included several counts of assault and battery across various locations such as the 300 block of 23rd Street S., 2400 block of Shirlington Road, and other addresses throughout Arlington County. Incidents involving larceny were also reported at locations including Columbia Pike and Fairfax Drive.

A stolen vehicle was reported—a gray Toyota Corolla with Maryland tags—taken from the 2300 block of Richmond Highway on September 10.

Online reports submitted to police included fraud cases (2900 block of 13th Road S.), identity theft (1600 block of N. Oak Street), suspicious circumstances at multiple addresses including Wilson Boulevard and Washington Boulevard, destruction of property incidents (4700 block of 30th Street S., among others), as well as additional larceny cases.
