One of the main incidents detailed was an attempted unlawful entry in the 200 block of N. Piedmont Street at around 11:24 p.m. A resident reported hearing a noise and saw an unknown man trying to enter her home by turning the doorknob. The suspect left on foot after failing to gain entry. Officers searched the area but did not locate him. The suspect is described as a White male, about 5’6” tall, weighing between 160-170 pounds, with salt and pepper hair, wearing a black sweatshirt and black pants. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
Other reports included assault and battery in the 800 block of S. Greenbrier Street, larceny in the 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard, trespass in the 2200 block of Clarendon Boulevard, stolen property in the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street, two shoplifting cases on N. Glebe Road and Wilson Boulevard, and multiple fraud reports across various locations.
Online reports listed suspicious circumstances on Fairfax Drive, larceny from auto on N. Scott Street, additional fraud cases on Washington Boulevard and S. Stafford Street, larceny on 7th Street S., and identity theft on N. Rolfe Street.
