Arlington County Police responded to a series of incidents on August 28, 2025, according to the latest daily crime report. The report includes details on malicious wounding, unlawful entry, larceny, fraud, assault and battery, and other offenses across various neighborhoods.
At approximately 10:42 p.m. on August 28, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of S. Dinwiddie Street for an assault with injury. According to police, “the male victim was outside when the male suspect, approached, assaulted him and pepper sprayed him before fleeing the scene.” The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital. Officers canvassed the area but did not locate the suspect, described as a Hispanic male around 5’8”, weighing between 200 and 300 pounds, wearing a green sweater and brown pants. The investigation continues.
In another incident reported at approximately 6:22 p.m., police responded to the late report of a breaking and entering in the 1700 block of N. Pierce Street. Authorities determined that between July 6 and August 20, unknown suspects entered a female victim’s unoccupied residence before leaving without taking any items. There is no available description of suspects at this time.
Other incidents listed in the report include several cases of larceny from different locations such as S. Hayes Street and N. Quincy Street; multiple counts of assault and battery; fraud cases; shoplifting; threats; trespassing; identity theft; harassment; stolen vehicle reports; suspicious circumstances; and more.

Montessori Public School of Arlington enrolled the largest number of pre-kindergarten students among county schools during the last academic year with 103 students or roughly one out of every nine pre-kindergarteners in Arlington (https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home).
