The following day, December 11, Beyer addressed recent policy moves by the Trump Administration concerning student loan repayment options. He stated: “The Trump Administration is doubling down on making life more expensive for the American people.
To add to the growing list of ways they’re squeezing Americans, they’re trying to kill the most affordable repayment option for student loan borrowers. https://t.co/uEiCAXUKMn“.
Later that same day, Beyer described a visit with students at BASIS Independent McLean: “Wonderful joining the bright young leaders at BASIS Independent McLean to discuss our work in Congress and how we can rise above polarization to get things done for the American people. https://t.co/xV8n7bYg7D”.
Beyer has represented Virginia’s 8th District since succeeding Jim Moran in 2015 and resides in Alexandria. Born in Trieste in 1950 and now age 72, he is an alumnus of Williams College, graduating with a BA in 1972.
