Rep. Don Beyer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 8th district since 2015, has recently addressed several national issues through his social media posts.

On September 20, 2025, Beyer criticized recent developments regarding vaccine policy and public health information. He stated, “Despite abundant scientific data highlighting the success of vaccines, unqualified CDC advisors appointed by RFK Jr. are deliberately sowing misinformation and uncertainty over Americans’ access to life-saving vaccines. This is bad. 3/”

The following day, on September 21, 2025, Beyer highlighted economic concerns linked to trade policies enacted during the Trump administration by sharing a CNBC report: “CNBC: From bananas to toys, these 5 charts show how much costs have risen since Trump’s tariffs went into effect

Later that same day, Beyer posted a brief statement referencing undisclosed material: “RELEASE THE HOMAN TAPES https://t.co/4NMYTDi4aS”

Beyer has served in Congress since replacing Jim Moran in 2015 and represents constituents from Virginia’s 8th district. Born in Trieste in 1950 and currently residing in Alexandria at age 72, he graduated from Williams College with a BA in 1972.
