Rep. Don Beyer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 8th district since 2015, has recently voiced concerns on social media regarding the current administration’s actions. Beyer replaced Jim Moran in Congress and has been an active political figure with a focus on various issues.

On February 7, 2025, Rep. Don Beyer criticized the Musk Administration for what he described as “wild incompetence and corruption.” He stated that the administration is purging thousands of career professionals who were hired based on skill and expertise, serving under both Republican and Democratic presidents. “Wild incompetence and corruption.”

The following day, February 8, 2025, Beyer released a statement concerning USAID through his social media account. “My statement on USAID: https://t.co/Xcnp9PW4vi”

In another post on February 8, Beyer expressed approval of a judicial order temporarily halting what he termed as the Musk Administration’s abuse of USAID’s workforce. He urged the court to uphold the law to stop what he called illegal activities within USAID permanently. “I welcome a judicial order to halt the Musk Administration’s abuse of USAID’s workforce even temporarily.”
