Rep. Don Beyer, a U.S. Congressman representing Virginia’s 8th district since 2015, has recently used his social media platform to comment on issues ranging from political leadership to economic policy.

On March 28, 2026, Beyer posted: “No Kings! Not now, not ever.” The following day, he addressed the impact of tariffs imposed by former President Donald Trump on aluminum imports. On March 29, 2026, Beyer wrote: “As we’ve said all along, Trump’s aluminum tariffs are a counterproductive failure. These tariffs are only raising costs on manufacturers that rely on aluminum, while domestic production has actually declined. A great thread from @scottlincicome: https://t.co/uoLZRj25C2”

Continuing his criticism of Trump administration policies, Beyer commented on rising consumer prices in a post dated March 30, 2026: “Trump promised he would lower costs on Day 1, but the cost of groceries has only gotten more expensive for Americans since he’s been in office.
