Rep. Don Beyer, who represents Virginia’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, voiced concerns on September 16, 2025, regarding U.S. foreign policy and domestic healthcare costs through a series of posts on his official Twitter account.

In a post published at 15:07 UTC, Beyer wrote, “Palestinian civilians continue to be killed with American weapons, Israeli hostages are no closer to freedom, and people in this country and around the globe are rightfully horrified that their leaders refuse to see what is obvious to everyone else. 1/2”.

Minutes later, at 15:09 UTC, he continued his criticism of current U.S. policy toward Israel’s actions in Gaza City by stating, “The American blank check for Netanyahu’s Gaza City operation does not serve our interests.

We are mired in a moral and strategic morass, and the only way out is a fundamental alteration of the broken U.S.-Israeli relationship. 2/2″.

Later that day at 15:52 UTC, Beyer addressed another pressing issue affecting Americans—healthcare costs—saying, “A crushing healthcare price hike is on the horizon thanks to the Republican tax law, but Congress can fix this issue before millions of Americans are hit with eye-popping health care bills.
